Not really. However, the new Iphone app that was announced a few days ago will make living with Diabetes a little bit cooler. The application, by Johnson and Johnson works with Bluetooth enabled glucose monitors. Basically, I will prick my finger with a Bluetooth capable glucose monitor and then all the data from the glucose monitor gets sent over to my Iphone. The Iphone app then can display the information in a nice little graph, or tell me when I need to take Insulin, it can even send my glucose levels to someone else with the app (doctors, family members, etc..). This application definitely doesn’t cure diabetes (the Iphone can’t do everything), but since I’m a tech whore, I might as well embrace the awesome power of the Iphone and the not so awesome power of da’beetes.
